| With the popularity of Linux-kernel-based Android open source mobile phone operating system and the development of application processors, smartphones develop rapidly in research and application. By adopting dual core A9architecture and using SoC technology, NIVIDA AP20H integrates multiple functional modules, such as GPU and audio/video processors. These features make NIVIDA AP20H a powerful application processor (AP), which is suitable for designing smartphones. As the3G communication standard, TD-SCDMA is the first standard independently brought forward by our country and its most intellectual property belongs to our country. It is of great strategic significance in the history of the development of China’s telecommunication.Combined with the design cases of mobile phones customized by China Mobile, the thesis studied the key circuits of TD-SCDMA smartphones based on NIVIDA dual core AP. The main works are as follows:1) Introduced the ARM dual core AP and key design techniques of smartphones based on dual core AP.2) Elaborated the hardware design of key modules of TD-SCDMA smartphones based on AP20H dual core AP. The power design of the entire system and optimization of power dissipation were carefully analyzed. In order to improve the stability, the thesis studied and discussed the design procedures of interconnect interface between AP and baseband processor, key measures and optimization points. Under the condition of taking full account of energy-saving performance, audio design techniques were used to accomplish the designs of various audio channels and to satisfy all the requirements.3) Analyzed the problems encountered in circuit design in detail. The whole scheme and solution was presented. Typical case analyses were also given.In short, this thesis can allow circuit design engineers quickly master the hardware design of smartphones based on AP and baseband processor, focus on important design consideration and lay a solid foundation for quickly designing high-end TD-SCDMA mobile phone which satisfied the requirements customized by operators. |
