With the development of Chinese economic and society, the plane positioningsystem has been widely used increasingly. The reasons of the large size, heavy weighthave limited the development of the conventional plane positioning system. In recentyears, the plane positioning technology based on the micro inertial measurement units(MIMU) provides a good solution for the shortage of the conventional planepositioning system. With high accuracy positioning, faster positioning speed, and smallsize, light weight, cheap, and many other advantages,the micro inertial measurementunits are paied highly attention in many areas.At first,this paper introduced the purpose, significance, current situation anddevelopment of the research for the MIMU plane positioning technology in our nationand abroad.And then the paper analyzes and explains the dynamics principle of the miniatureinertial components; Provides the calculation method of the three-dimensional position.And then based on the MIMU plane positioning hardware system’s basic composition is introduced. Also design and realize the MIMU combination systembased on the core of the accelerometer ADXL330and processing chip of89C51single-chip microcomputer; In data processing, use the Kalman filter to filter and program to achieve, at the same time taking into account the synchronizationof the data output of the system to take appropriate measures to deal with. Andrealize the inertial measurement system’s lower computer and PC program design.Finally to build MIMU plane positioning platform and perform a series of experiments can be drawn the following conclusions, the MIMU plane positioningsystem based on the accelerometer ADXL330can effectively improve the accuracy of the plane positioning system.
