With the rapid development of China’s mobile communication technology,overall performance and system quality of the wireless network becomes more andmore important. To improve the quality of wireless network, network optimization isa very important part of the wireless network construction. So, the research for theoptimization technology of CDMA network has been shown a growing urgency andimportance.CDMA is an advanced mobile communication technology which has beendesigned to meet the requirements of modern mobile communication networks, justlike high quality, large capacity, comprehensive business and international roaming. Ithas many advantages like confidential security, resistant to multipath fading and goodanti-interference. CDMA is China telecom’s main brand. CDMA system must bedetailed planning and continuously optimization in operation process. For one thing,network planning and optimization will ensure that China telecom is able to providemore high quality services to the users. for another, the optimization can improve thesystem capacity to accept more and more users.This thesis briefly describes the principle and key technology o f CDMAnetwork,and introduces methods and processes of the CDMA network optimization.Based on the theory, we analyses and optimize the problems of CDMA network inWujiang, which mainly involve the following issue:1、network coverage;2、droppedcall;3、Soft handoff and so on. By the means of collecting and analyzing the data ofnetwork, we find out some problems of network quality and adjust the network to thebest running state. Finally,The quality of network achieve the desired target set, andmeet the demand of the customer.
