| A country’s information technology has become an important measure of thestandard of its international status, and the wireless digital cities are a classicexpression of this important standard. With the popularity of various wirelesstechnologies, construction of national wireless city has become a trend, but manyproblems are arising in the implementation, such as the narrow coverage, the weakpenetration, the large investment, which are restricting the development of a wirelessdigital city. McWiLL technology is a broadband wireless access technologyself-developed by Beijing Xinwei Telecom Technology Corp. The application ofMcWiLL in wireless digital city will improve the international influence of our countryin the field of broadband wireless communication, and promote the widely applicationand promotion of domestic self-developed communication technology.Various key technologies of the McWiLL are analyzed, and other wirelesstechnologies are compared in this paper. The application of the wireless digitl city isintroduced, then the using of McWiLL in building wireless digitl city is proposed,and the results of test show McWiLL’s good performance.In this paper, the main points are as followd:A theoretical basis of McWiLL is provided, after analyzing the key technologiesof McWiLL and a full comparison with WiFi and WiMAX in the application ofwireless technology. The application needs are systematically analyzed, the base forthe wireless digitl city is provided.A wireless digitl city is build by using McWiLL wireless technology according tothe plan. It includes McWiLL network coverage forecasts, network frequency planning,network capacity forecasts, and wireless digital city network management andperformance guarantees. The entire business application effect and McWiLL actualperformance are tested in the Changsha wireless digitl city.In the paper, wireless digital city construction is implemented by using McWiLL,Changsha zhongnan automobile world station and Xingsha Huamutang station arechosen as testing base stations. The testing results show that McWiLL is suitable forwireless digital city construction. |
