With the rapid development of infrared gas detection technology, more and more infraredgas sensors into people daily life. However, the preparation of mine-used gas sensor developslowly. On the one hand less investment and work was carried out in the field,and there aresome difficulties. On the other hand requirements of mine environment is strict with thesensor,it is needed to be ensure absolute security before be put into practical using. As theinstrument to detect gas, in addition to possess high precision, fast response, small error andother performance indicators its use security and explosion proof performance is particularlyimportant. The design is based on NDIR.It consulting G3836Series, MT209series standardsand combining with actual using environment to design a good performance infrared gassensor.This paper gave a systematic introduction of methods for the detection of gas. Establish theinfrared spectral absorption method which possesses good selectivity, high precision, widerange and good explosion proof character as the object of study. Infrared gas sensor is basedon the principle of infrared absorption and designed by NDIR technology. Through specificIR absorption peak of multi-atomic gas molecules, concentration of gas can be detected.Research of the paper is developed around key technologies for detection of gas.1)Design and simulation of infrared optical gas chamber structure.2) IR containing gas concentration is accomplished photoelectric conversion bypyroelectric infrared detector.3) A peripheral circuit of the sensor is designed.4) Combined with the national standard and enterprise standard, sensor was taken intoanti-explosion.5) Selecting linear interpolation-the data look-up table method to calibrate the sensor.. 6) Conduct an experiment to verify the performance of the sensor. The experiments showthat the sensors ’ performance is excellent and basically reached the indicators proposed bythis project.All the analysis shows that this paper discussed the design process of infrared gas sensorsystematically. All research of infrared gas sensors in this paper provides practical referencevalue for the future development of other infrared gas sensor.
