Study And Application Project Management System Using Workflow Technology

The traditional development method of a project management information system is often to base on single project business processes of an enterprise. The business processes are directly integrated into the application program. Such method does not satisfy the diverse and undefined demand of business processes. If some business processes of the project take any changes, the whole system must be rebuilt to meet the changes.Workflow technology presents such idea that the definition of a business process separates from its execution, which supplies a solution for the diverse and undefined business processes in project management. The paper brings forward a solution based on workflow technology to implement project management information system, which improves the flexibility and rebuilding ability of a system.This paper analyzes the fundamental theory of workflow and referenced model of workflow management system. Secondly, analyzes oracle workflow software development platform used by system development. At last, implements a project management information system using J2EE technology integrating Oracle Workflow software development platform. Also, explains the tasks of the system development process including requirement analysis, workflow modeling, architecture design, system detailed design and implement in detail.Application of workflow technology to the actual project management information system development, it completes the system process start notice, inform the query, process query, users four basic function modules, and pre-sale technical support and project application business process modeling effort. The whole system has realized the separation of defining and executing process, improve the flexibility of the system, and at the same time solve the diversity and uncertainty of the business process of system development.
