Nowadays, FTP has been widely used in LAN and internal private network with the rapid development of information and communication technology. However, FTP transmits passwords and file contents in clear text, which can cause many security threats. Facing with the increasingly serious network security situation, encrypted file transfer and file transfer technology based on security isolation have been proposed. But each of both technologies has its own defect in transmission efficiency or safety.Against the efficiency and safety defects existed in secure file transfer technology, a secure file transfer technology based on forwarding isolation is proposed with the combination of encrypted transmission and forwarding isolation. The forwarding isolation architecture is designed and implemented by the ideas of forwarding isolation, which isolates the file storage server and client. Full encryption and segmented data transmission with compression is achieved by secure file transfer protocol stack. The backlog of data caused by forwarding isolation architecture is discussed and solved. The test results show that the secure file transfer technology based on forwarding isolation not only achieves the isolation of the client and data receive server, full encryption and preventing man-in-the-middle attacks, but also ensures the speed and efficiency of file transfer. The backlog of data in forwarding server caused by the differences between network speed of internet inside and outside based on forwarded isolation architecture is a disadvantage, which requires traffic control in the forwarding server. At last the works of the paper are summarized and a further view of the research and promotion is taken.
