| In recent years, with the popularity of Internet technology, image compression technology are also developing, which continuously improve the compression quality of the audio and video files.the digitized traditional broadcast TV services business enter into a new stage of development. Compared with traditional cable, digital television has not only the higher-quality audio and video, but also a greater amount of the broadcast. More importantly, the digital television may interact directly with the audience, this interactive program gives the user in the form of a new viewing experience, which can meet users’increasing viewing requirements. Due to the growing demand to the quality of digital TV interactive services, the number of video servers in VOD system increases a lot, the update speed of the video program and the support to real-time play has become an important consideration for testing the performance of a video-on-demand system. To manage media assets better, the fundamental approach is to improve the quality of service in the system, to establish a dedicated content manager of media information dissemination, and to provide a stable, robust and efficient mechanism for dissemination of media resources.American radio and television service provider Comcast Corporation developed an interactive TV services standard-Next Generation On Demand Video Architecture(NGOD).Based on NGOD architecture,this paper designs and implements the key components of assets management and propagation-the Asset Propagation Manager(APM), and then comes up with an asset management and propagation solution. Meanwhile, this paper utilizse content delivery network (CDN) technology in the design of VOD system,and do the research of CDN based APM load balancing algorithm, shortest distance-weighted least connection algorithm, to give the content assets better management service. |
