The electric transmission microcomputer-controlled system is the key component and technology of the motorized wheels autonomous dump truck. Until now both foreign and domestic enterprises commonly use STATEXⅢMCU control system, but this type of control system have many pinboards within it and have a high failure rate, and the price is high, the ordering cycle is long, as a result, it seriously constraints the domestic rate of domestic cars and the vehicles running rate and exploitation efficiency in mining enterprises. As the national economy has developed rapidly, there are strong demands for the electric transmission micro-computer control system on the domestic market; therefore, it has real meaning and application prospects to develop an electric transmission micro-computer control system that has full intellectual property rights for the electrical wheels dump truck.This paper reviewed the general development and trends of the electric wheel dump truck systematically, and analyzed current status of the electric transmission micro-computer control system; it also presented a detailed analysis of the principle of the electric transmission control system and the functional requirements of the microcomputer control system in the electric wheel dump truck. On this basis, we adopted the high-performance motor precinct control chip TMS320F2812DSP as the CPU, and we designed the hardware circuit with high integration and high reliability quality; we used appropriate, advanced and reliable control strategies and advanced software technology, to develop the magnetic excitation control program in the transmission system and the fault diagnosis PTU management system software. We completed the simulation and testing of the control system, the dynamic debugging of electronic control unit (prototype) and industrial test run all systematically.The simulation experiment and test results of the prototype showed, the electric transmission micro-computer control system we developed for the electric wheel dump truck is high integrated, stable and reliable, and meet the design requirements completely. As the electric transmission micro-computer control system for the electric wheel dump truck developed successfully, we broken the foreign enterprise monopoly in technological and commercial area, increased the domestic rate in the domestic car substantially, and raised the level of core competitive edge, moreover, as the system’s good performance over cost and well compatibility with STATEXⅢ,we can provide a strong technical support for increasing domestic rate for spare parts and improving the efficiency of exploiting in mining enterprises.
