| Convolutional Turbo Code (CTC) is one of the optional channel coding methods for IEEE802.16e-2005. It is a dual-binary Turbo code with high-efficiency encoding performance, small decoding delay, good error correction performance and less affect by punching. It has strong anti-fading and anti-jamming ability. This paper presents the principle of CTC code, the basic structure, composition of encoder and decoder, the decoding algorithm, as well as its application in mobile WiMAX wireless systems. It is given out the simulation result and comparison between different simulations configures such as modulation, code rate, channel and decode algorithm. It also studied two improved approximate decode algorithms and gave out performance comparison. The result shows the CTC code used in WiMAX have good performance and strong anti-fading and anti-jamming ability which suitable for communications under poor conditions. It can completely meet the requirement for WiMAX mobile communication system. |
