Recently, with the rapid development of economic, there is no doubt that rationally use of energy play an important role in the economic life. However, Chinese energy management has not yet formed by a unified standard. MAPGIS provide a platform for connection between data and figure, which also could basically meet energy management automation and visualization requirement.Basis data is cell of energy management; to establish a energy management database is the most important work for energy management. Achievement of energy resources information management, For of energy optimized use and decision making provide a reliable and visualized basic data, also have great contribution of energy forecasting and establishing energy information system.This paper, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region as a typical area to establish a regional energy database: to describes a overview of Inner Mongolia; to select the basis for building a regional energy database and the current status of domestic and international use of MAPGIS research and development; and to construct database based on the importance of energy MAPGIS.This paper, collect the Inner Mongolian spatial data and energy data, build the databases and analysis the data sorting; use the MAPGIS software to vectorised the data Finally conduct the topographic map.This paper collect data sorting, connect the graphics and data by using the MAPGIS software, use GeoMAG software to export data and analysis the data. Build the evaluation model with sustainable energy; use the output data to evaluate Inner Mongolian region profiles.Energy information management is the direction of energy development for future. Build the energy database play a fundamental role in future energy information management. This paper constructs Inner Mongolian energy database, visualization of energy data, which could also update, modify, and export data using GeoMAG software which also provides a platform for future secondary development. The database provides a basis for optimization of energy use and reliable、visible decision-making. It also has a great contribution for both energy forecasting and establishment of energy information.
