Auto industry plays an important role in the national economy with great influence to both up and down stream industries. The auto industry is dominated by Joint-Venture car makers. Therefore, the rise and fall of the joint-venture car makers determine the development of the Chinese auto industry. Auto enterprises featured by joint-ventures inevitably face the issues of culture differences and integrations between the Chinese and foreign companies. And the issue of corporate culture integration recently has become the research focus of the management of joint-venture companies. Based on the study of related references, this essay collects and orders the actions and countermeasures taken by ABC Passenger Vehicle Company (hereinafter referred to as "ABC") in terms of corporate culture integration, and focus on the discussion and analysis of the countermeasures of ABC over culture integration and its results and impact to the growth of the company in a way of combining both the practices and investigations. ABC is a typical example of culture integration of joint-venture companies. As the latest comer among three Japanese auto joint-ventures(Toyota&Honda) with lowest brand recognition, ABC has outperformed Guangzhou Toyota and Guangzhou Honda by huge margins in the South China in just a couple of years, and has achieved breakthrough performance, all these are closely associated with the emphasis it has placed on corporate culture integration. We can say that, because ABC has been constructing excellent an integrated culture continually, it grows smoothly and rapidly in a market of fierce competition. Based on ABC’s practice, we can conclude that:joint-venture companies can build an integrated corporate culture by taking the right actions, and such culture will play a positive role continually to its production and operation. The successful experience of ABC is worth studying and learning, and can be served as a reference. This paper concluded that the joint venture would face a variety of management issues. If in underlying causes, it is often associated with the cultural conflict of joint ventures. Therefore, cultural integration is the necessary means to solve cultural conflicts and to take advantage of the joint venture effect. During cultural integration, problem finding should be the top priority, key issues shall be focused, and root analysis should be made. After categorizing by nature, problems at the culture levels shall be prioritized. When developing countermeasures for cultural integration, preparatory work should be done first, including consensus making and team building to solve problems, specific objectives and principles for cultural integration, explicitly problem-solving ideas and methods, a clear pattern and phase of integration, and relevant countermeasures for issues and key factors. Creative significance of this paper is even though Chinese companies are in a weak position; they are still dominating the success of cultural integration. The inspiration is that consensus-making is the precondition of success; moreover, to get well prepared, to be open to any problem, to focus on the future, to emphasize on execution and to learn from best practices as well.
