The Empirical Research On The Relationship Of Chinese Rural Residents’ Consumption And Economic Growth In China

In order to keep the economy stable development, must expand domestic demand to promote economic growth, activation has huge consumption potential of rural market is the most important.Based on the characteristics of China’s rural residents’ consumption and the economic growth situation as the foundation, through to the consumer demand of rural residents in GDP elastic, contribution rate and pulling rate analysis, found that the consumption of rural residents of the GDP elastic coefficient is low, economic growth for the growth of rural residents consumption the effect is not obvious, while the rural residents’ consumption on the contribution rate of GDP and pulling rate are low. With stepwise regression analysis the mutual relations of the rural residents’ consumption growth and economic growth,that the effect of the economic growth on the rural residents’consumption growth has long-term dynamic decision and the effect of the rural residents’ consumption growth on GDP growth is only a short-term decision effect, while the long-term effect is not obvious. The fourth chapter makes scientific predictions about the approximate trend of rural residents’consumption structure, including four aspects. For consumption expenditure, the consume of food, cloth and other basic consumption continue declining; the proportion of transportation and communication, culture, education and entertainment products and services and health care continue to increase year by year; The consume for household equipment will stabilize; the consume for housing will fluctuate, and rural residents not only focus on the number of expansion of living houses but on improving the quality gradually. And it also stresses the role of optimizing the residents’ consumption structure in achieving the inclusive growth in China, mainly embody in optimizing the structure of rural residents, which is to protect this vulnerable groups-rural residents, to be the main means to narrow the gap between urban and rural areas in China, and break the dual economic structure, and to ensure the sharing rights of low-income people in the society and to improve the quality of their lives to prevent the single GDP growth in China.Finally it gets some important conclusions:the rural residents’ consumption and economic growth have a mutual reinforcing relationship, but rural residents’ consumption shortage and the slow consumption structure upgrading are important factors to restrict China’s economic growth. So the upgrading of rural residents’ consumption demand will be an important force driving Chinese economic growth in the next few years. I believe it can be explained form several in-depth studies to improve rural residents’consumption levels and promote the healthy development of rural residents’consumption, like speeding up the equalization process of promoting the fundamental rights of the urban and rural residents, improving the environment of rural consumption and rural residents’ working, paying more attention on consumption problems and some deep researches.
