In the21st century, human capital has become the most important factor of production for promoting economic development, domestic and foreign research results all show that the contribution rates of human capital investment to economic growth are rising, so the accumulation of human capital investment is an important foundation for a sustained national or regional economic growth. Today, Ordos economic is developing rapidly and has ranked first in Inner Mongolia. However, in Ordos, the stock of human capital is still low, the quality of human capital is not high, the high-level human capital is not enough, these all will affect economic growth. Therefore, how to increase the investment, to improve the stock, to optimize the structure of human capital becomes an important issue in Ordos. This paper analyzes the status of economic growth and human capital investment, researches the contribution of human capital investment to economic growth of Ordos. It has some theoretical and practical significance.Based on the analysis of the theory of human capital investment and the theory of economic growth, the paper firstly analyzes the status of economic growth and human capital investment of Ordos, then identifies their problems and causes. Next, using Eviews software and Jinying Wang’s effective labor regression model, the paper analyzes the contribution of human capital investment to economic growth of Ordos. Finally, the paper offers some targeted recommendations for strengthening the human capital investment in Ordos, and expects the rapid growth of Ordos economic can be continuous.
