With the development of the financial industry, commercial banks play an increasingly important role in the national economy, and the establishment of modern enterprise system is vital to the development of commercial banks. In our country, most commercial banks are affected by some sort of the planned economy, as they all grown up under the background of planned economy or transition period of planned economy to market economy. In addition, it’s not been a long time since the commercial banks’IPO, so the shareholding structure becomes an important factor which affects the performance of commercial banks of our country. This paper mainly researches the shareholding structure’s influence on the performance of China’s commercial banks after banks’ IPO. In the theory, the author study the shareholding structure on the impact of the performance mechanism of China’s listed commercial banks from two aspects:shareholding concentration and the nature of shareholders, then indicates that the relative concentration of shareholding structure is most effective to improve banks’ performance, the high proportion of state will reduce banks’ performance. And then, this paper takes related index of China’s14listed commercial banks as the sample, establish synthesis index of banks’performance by using the principal component analysis, and research the specific impact of which China’s commercial banks’ shareholding structure will have on performance by building the Panel Data Model. Through an empirical test, the author come to some conclusions:in China’s listed commercial bank, the proportion of the first shareholder is negatively related to the performance, equity balance degree is negatively related to the performance too, squares of the top five shareholders holding ratio is positively related to the performance, and the same as the sum of the top ten shareholders holding ratio; Meanwhile, the state shareholdings in top ten shareholders and the performance are negatively correlated, domestic legal person share ratio and the foreign shareholders’ratio in top ten shareholders and the performance are positively related.
