| Information technology which has been developed and widely used by the middle of the twentieth century has made profound changes to human being’s lives and economics. Especially the use of Network technology and Communications technology has driven our society into the age of information and brought profound changes to the business model and structure of our economics.In the mean time, multinational enterprises have become the most important and the most active part in the global economics. In recent years, there are a huge number of mergers and acquisitions between multinational enterprises. Many multinational enterprises outsource their business and sell their assets to narrow their boundary. In addition, a large number of multinational enterprises build intermediate organization such as strategic alliance which has changed their boundary greatly.Although there are many theoretical results of the research of the boundary of enterprises, most of them are general research. The research of an industry or one type of enterprises is not enough, but with the diversification of global economics, the trends of change of the boundary of enterprises are different among different countries, different areas, different industries and different types of enterprises. Even the trends of change is similar, the principle of change is not the same. The author choose multinational enterprises as research subjects and the theory of transaction cost as Theoretical basis in order to analyze the influences on the boundary of multinational enterprises made by the progress of information technology. The analyses has two aspects including static aspect and dynamic aspect, then analyze the trends of change of the boundary of multinational enterprises by comparing the different degrees of influences between internal and external transaction cost of multinational enterprises made by information technology.The author comes up with some strategies on the restructure of the boundary of multinational enterprises according to the results of the thesis and the situation of multinational enterprises, which may provide some advice on the restructure of the boundary of the multinational enterprises of our country. |
