The Optimization Study On The Space Production Structure Of Central Towns In Less Developed Rural Areas

The difficulty of China’s urbanization and modernization lies in the vast rural areas. Therefore, under the national strategy of building a new socialist countryside and a moderately prosperous society, the hub function of the central town to connect urban and rural areas plays an important role in urban and rural development, which can promotes rural industrialization, urbanization and modernization, and ultimately achieve the vision of the integration of urban and rural areas.As a growth pole in rural regions, the central town is an important space on which the development of rural areas can rely. Based on the research of central town and the core issues, this paper explores the optimization problem of the space production structure at the center of the town in less developed rural areas, and builds up a research framework including the industrial development as the core and driving force, the town construction as the space relying on and the space relationships among towns as the link,which is committed to cultivate the central town into the growth pole of the rural areas.The article can be divided into five parts. The first part presents the backgrounds of the central town, points out the significance, review the researches at home and abroad and tells the ideas and methods. The second part make a sort of the theory of the space production structure, and give a brief introduction about it in the perspective of spatial economics theory. The third part constructs the theoretical framework of the production structure optimization study in the central town of the less developed rural areas, including industrial development, the construction of the center of town and the domain space between the towns. The fourth part select Jingde town as a case study which located in Debao county of Guangxi. The fifth part make a summary.The main conclusions of this paper are:First, industrial development is the core of development and power of the central town, which must be implemented to a specific industry and cater to the needs of the largest market outside the region.Second, the construction of the central town conducive to attracting business and population focus, which can promote the urbanization of rural areas.Third, because of the narrow range of the central town,it must to carry out cooperation among towns to format a wider range of geographical division of labor.Fourth, the small and medium-sized cities is the future direction of the development of the central town.
