Economic growth convergence theory has become one of the most populartopics in economic growth since the1990s.China has got great progress in theeconomic growth since the Reform and Opening-up,However,different regions inChina has different economics growth rate which results in regional economicdifference. In this paper,We will inspect this regional difference in towrespects:Firstly,Examining if there are stages in the dynamic evolution of theregional economic differences (output per worker is used as the indicator),By usingthe non-parametric kemel density estimation method,it is found that,during1978-1995,the regional distribution of output per worker turned into a single peakfrom the peaks, and in1995-2009,the regional distribution of output per worker hasevolved into two peaks by a single peak.Secondly,to further examine the reasons whythe distribution of output per worker has evoluted. This paper firstly decomposites theeconomic growth into thress parts based on the economic growth model, they are theaccumulation of physical capital, human capital and total factor productivity, thenbased on the growth model,a virtual economic growth is constructed,in the1978-1995stage,there are six kinds of the virtual economic growth: only a facor ofphysical capital accumulation works,a factor of human capital works,a factor of totalfactor productivity works, then two factors of combination of physical capitalaccumulation and human capital work, two facors of combination of physical capitalaccumulation and total factor productivity work, two facors of combination of totalfactor productivity and human capital work, the same is true as to the stage of1995-2009.after that,we will compare the virtural distribution with the realdistribution of the output of per worker the inspect what the role the facors play in thedistribution evolution.after the strong empirical test results,we will draw theconclusion, lastly,we will give some corresponding recommendations based on theconclusion.
