In2008global financial crisis causes internationaleconomy decline, highlighting the serious defect of the international monetary system,which makes focus on the international monetary system rebuilder again. Toaccelerate the internationalization of RMB, and occupied one place in the newinternational monetary system has become the problem scholars pay close attentionto.To our country, internationalization of RMB has a very profound sense. For onething we can get benefits from internationalization; for the other thing, it can be ableto enhance our position in the international arena. At present, RMB has been widelycirculated in the country or region around us, which has laid a good foundation ofRMB internationalization. However, in the process of internationalization, we willencounter great challenges and risks. In this paper, according to current situationanalysis of RMB, after analyzing the historical process of the five major currencies,analyzing the conditions of different currencies internationalization, the writer looksfor the similarities and law, while fully draw upon their experience, bonding with thereality; ultimately, choose a suitable path of RMB internationalization.The paper illustrates these problems as following:Part one is introduction, including the background of the paper, significance of the research, the details of research and methods, the summarizing of document andalso possible innovation.Part two is about theory. It illustrates general theory of currencyinternationalization; including relevant concepts in monetary internationalization, thecondition of the monetary internationalization and relevant theory of monetaryinternationalization.Part three first defines the concepts of the RMB internationalization, and thendecrypts the development and current situation of the RMB internationalization, atlast indicates influencing factor of the RMB internationalization in both indoors andoutdoors.Part four respectively illustrates the different internationalization stages of poundand dollar, Euro, Mark, yen, analyzes the conditions of the five currencyinternationalization, and then gains lots of experience of the five monetaryinternationalizations and enlightenment of the RMB route choice. At last sum up lawand similarity, and generalize under what condition, choose which route isappropriate.Part five sums up the content above all, firstly in the view of RMB route choice,at present less of RMB has already circulated using in the surrounding countries, so itshould improve the status of the surrounding countries furthermore, in order toconfront the effect of the dollar inertia, and then achieve regionalization, ultimatelyachieve internationalization step by step. At last generalize the paper and gainconclusion, raise policies and suggestions such as strengthening international power,deepening financial system reform and perfecting government macro-control etc.
