Our society witnesses a rapid advancement in science and information technologies, which enable the communication among different countries more and more convenient and swift. As a result, we are facing a burgeoning period of transnational companies, beyond the limitation of time and region. On the one hand, it helps companies to explore larger markets and find manufacturing bases with lower costs; on the other, it also brings negative effect to those companies due to the differences in cultural background, customs and practices, and religions among different countries. How to realize long-term growth despite those cultural differences? It is a question that modern multinational enterprises have to think over and deal with.This article will, based on a survey of the theories and practices of cross-cultural management both at home and abroad, try to make an analysis from the angle of cultural and cross-cultural management, explore reasons causing communication impediment and find solutions to those problems, and also deduce the way that companies to cope with cross-cultural phenomenon. Moreover, this article will talk about the impact of cultural difference on the management of companies and institutions, so as to awaken the international companies to attach more importance to the cultural differences, and avoid risks correspondingly. Some analysis of management models, marketing models and human resource models will also be involved in this article.By an thoroughly analysis of theories and concepts in the field of cross-cultural management, this article will make an explanation of management methods in different cultural background; by a series of survey and analysis on some cases, some problems will be listed to notice in the communication of cross-cultural management. With the discussion of management models, marketing models and HR models in multinational companies, we will make an analysis on the way to reduce inadaptability of transnational companies and maximize the management efficiency and profits, by using skills in cross-cultural management...
