Currently,the research on business models is a hot and front-line issueat home and abroad. Competitive pressures that enterprises face aregrowing wider,and the business environment has changed,which requirescompanies to innovate to adapt to these changes,and the only way to winlong-term competitive advantage is the business model innovation.Facingserious challenges from the world’s retail giant,supermarket chains of ourcountry will subject to a huge impact inevitably.Supermarket chains ofour country must have a business innovation in order to gain acompetitive advantage and long-term development.But theoretical studyof the current corporate business model stayed in a relatively simplelevel,and did not form a unified and relatively complete theoreticalsystem,therefore,systematically analyzing existing enterprise businessmodel theory to find the blank area or blind spot,and then explore aunique and novel research path,and form a more complete theoreticalframework which has important theoretical significance to enrich theexisting theoretical system and to lead the direction for further researchand has an important reference significance to the business modelinnovation of supermarket chains in China.On the basis of previous scholars,this paper made supermarket chains business model as the research subject and madeanalysis.Firstly,the paper introduces research background,researchobjectives,research methods,and innovation.the paper further expoundsthe definition,elements and characteristics of business model,anddiscusses the importance of business model innovation,at the same timethe paper defines the constituent elements of the supermarket chainbusiness model based on the operation of the supermarket chainsprocess,and introduces the elements in detail.Secondly,this paper analysesthe status of supermarket chains in China,describes the characteristics ofsupermarket chains in China,compares domestic and foreign supermarketchains business model,and the paper analyses the typical business modelof supermarket chains according to the element of supermarket chains athome and abroad,and sums up the reference significance of businessmodel in China of foreign supermarket chains business model.Again,thepaper analyses the shortcomings of Chinese supermarket chain businessmodel.Finally,the paper refines the path of the supermarket chainbusiness model element of innovation taking Wu mart business modelinnovation for an example,and summarizes the paths of business modelinnovation of our country.This paper makes a systematic review of the theory of the businessmodel,has in-depth study on the content of business model innovationwith the use of research methods in the literature,and has enriched the content of business model from the perspective of theoretical research.Atthe same time,with the use of case analysis this article has a detailanalysis of the business model of domestic and international successfulsupermarket chains,and has specific research on the business modelinnovation in China,proposes changing elements of the businessmodel,you can change the business model,and refines the elementinnovation path of business model of Chinese supermarket chains.The innovation of this paper are mainly the followingaspects:defining the supermarket chain business model elementscombining the existing research and operations of supermarket chains,andestablishes a supermarket chain business model framework;proposingChinese supermarket chain business model innovation proposals.
