Research On Project Cost Management Of Tianjin Central Fishing Port

To promote the planning and construction of the main national functional areas,and to further enhance the comprehensive economic strength of the Bohai Sea region,Relevant policies plan to make Tianjin as northern economic center, and focus on thedevelopment of Binhai New Area and other areas, of which condition are better,making sure they play a pilot role in the reform and opening up process. In the contextof national advocacy to develop marine economy, Tianjin take full advantage of itsunique geographical advantage and marine resources, relying on the vast economichinterland, in order to build a city of international fishing port. The urbandevelopment planning of the Binhai New Area plans to make the Tianjin centralfishing port as the "Top Ten battle” in the city construction.5000-ton dock project asa subproject of the fishing port, will greatly improve the throughput and diversifieddevelopment of the port play.As to the construction project, cost management is a critical part of projectmanagement. With the increasing integration of international markets and the growingnumber of industry participants, construction companies facing intense competitionand declining average profit. Thus, strengthening the project cost management helpsto increase the overall level of project management, increase its cost control andimprove corporate profits.The analysis object of this paper is the cost management of5000-ton dock projectin the Tianjin Central Fishing port. As project cost management is a systematicproject, article put forward a new method of project cost management based on thetheory of process management by the literature analysis. The method is about to applycost management concepts to various stages of project management, in addition to thefocus on the construction phase and the project final period, and it will extend therange to research the decision-making stage, design stage, tender and contract stage.By analysing the various aspects of cost estimates and cost budget, cost control, costfinal account, the article finally put furward the improvement method.
