Rural commercial banks in China have become the foundation of rural financial andthe important part of our integral system. But compared to modern commercial banks,there is still a wide gap in the restructured rural commercial banks. Credit risk is the mostimportant problem they face to. How to improve their risk management has become anurgent problem. As a significant part of the banks’ risk management, after-loanmanagement is the important measure to prevent and defuse credit risk. It also ensures thebank credit assets to recovery of the fundamental guarantee of principal and interest.Research on after-loan helps rural commercial banks to sharpen their risk preventioncapacity and improve their management level, to achieve the sustainable development.This article analyzed the meaning and context of after-loan management andexpounded its importance for the survival and development of the banks. By the readingand analysis of relevant literature at home and abroad, it summed up the moderncommercial banks on credit management theory development and research. Then itintroduced the operation and management status of JRRC Bank. It deeply analyzed theafter-loan management and summarized the problems faced in the after-loan in the bankincluding: the concept of loan over management, imperfect after-loan management system,credit check become formalistic, low level of loan tellers, the lack of effective informationtechnology platforms and management tools, imperfect after-loan appraisal system andsluggish external channels to get information and sound of market legal.Put forward countermeasures in the after-loan problems of JRRC Bank including: thetransformation of after-loan management concepts, implementation of differentiated andstandardized after-loan, building after-loan management team, developing early warningand tracking system, innovation of after-loan management incentives, enhancinginformation sharing, establishment of external communication system, so as to promotethe bank of credit risk management to develop well.
