Research On Life Cycle Assets Management Of Maoming Power Supply Bureau

With the deep reforming of state-owned enterprises, power grid enterprises shouldnot only be committed to social responsibility, but also take into account the value of stateassets increasing. With the EVA assessment for enterprises directly under the centralgovernment from SAC strengthening, power grid enterprises managers have paid moreand more attention to value creating capabilities of enterprise. Many managers in gridenterprises are constantly exploring the application of asset lifecycle management, hopingto enhance their enterprise’s ability of creating value by optimizing assets management.By analyzing the status of grid asset management in Maoming Power Supply Bureau,and combining with the requirements for goodness from the South China Power GridCorporation and Guangdong Power Grid Corporation, the ways and applications of assetlifecycle management in Maoming Power Supply Bureau are proposed. Maoming PowerSupply Bureau grid asset lifecycle management is one of the focus work field in SouthChina Power Grid Corporation. That is mainly to improve management level andenhance the value creating capability. Though reengineering business processes,optimizing the organizational structure, equipment account and assets cleaning up,information system building and etc., the responsibilities of asset management and thescale of assets are clarified, and make use of information technology to control the assetlife cycle. That can provide a basis for decision making for investment in the enterprise,then realize the assets life cycle management.Maoming Power Supply Bureau asset lifecycle management structure is proposed bylearning from domestic and foreign advanced power business management experience,and combining with the actual situation in Maoming. Though business processreengineering and organizational structure optimizing, asset management processes andresponsibilities are made clear, and the department barriers are broken down. In order tofind out the asset size and composition, the work of the accounting structure, equipmentcleaning and asset checking are optimized. Through the application of enterprise-classassets system, information sharing among provincial corporation, Maoming Power SupplyBureau and different subsidiary is achieved, and the interoperability among various business processes is achieved. The management and routine maintenance for equipmentsprovides a basis for decision making. After applying the enterprise-class assets system inMaoming Power Supply Bureau, work efficiency and management level are improved,and the investment in equipment upgrading is reduced. Based on the comprehensiveanalysis on the equipments asset, the costs have been reasonably controlled and thebusiness benefit has been increased.
