This thesis analyzed the relationship between the tendency that sellside analysts issue comments on finance performance forecast of listedcompanies and the following factors:(1) the extent that forecastperformance of listed companies exceed the expectation of sell sideanalysts (2) the relative degree of attention that sell side analysts put onthe listed companies (3) the time interval between the date thatperformance forecast was issued by the listed company and the date thatthe previous comment was issued by the sell side analysts (4) the timeinterval between the date that performance forecast was issued by thelisted company and the date that the corresponding regular report wasissued. Through the logit model regression test this thesis found that thetendency that the sell side analysts issue comments on performanceforecast has significantly positive correlation with the extent that forecast performance of listed companies exceed the expectation of sell sideanalysts and the relative degree of attention that sell side analysts put onthe listed companies. But there is no significant correlation between thethe tendency that the sell side analysts issue comments on performanceforecast and the time interval between the date that performance forecastwas issued by the listed company and the date that the previous commentwas issued by the sell side analysts nor the time interval between the datethat performance forecast was issued by the listed company and the datethat the corresponding regular report was issued.
