Multinational Electronic Enterprise Inventory Cost Control And Optimization

Under the current background of globalization, multinational enterprises are facing more and more pressure of competition, Forced by the global economic downturn, enterprises put cost control in an important position of enterprise operation. Inventory cost control is an very important part of enterprise cost control system. Along with the development of economy, people are paying more and more attention to supply chain and inventory management Inventory cost control becomes the indispensable part of enterprise management, and sometimes even one critical factor of enterprise success during critical period. So the study of inventory cost control is significantly important.RDC is under management of APAC SCM team, and is responsible for supply chain management of HK Hub, Increase product availability status and reduce cost are their main target. RDC team worked through increasing plant capacity and improving supplier relationship to increase product availability status, but as they didn’t pay much attention to their unique product characteristic and supply chain features, neither any attention to forecast accuracy, the result of their effort is under expectation and not very good.This research is based on inventory cost control of RDC project In company C, and using project management method to develop this research, especially quantitative management and optimized management methods. This research introduced the Key performance Item and the current status of inventory cost control in RDC, as well as the inventory cost control problems in RDC. In the analysis and study of inventory management theories, then proposed some methods to improve and optimize the inventory cost control, after that, this research deeply introduced the application achievements of those proposed methods.This research focuses on inventory cost control study for industry with complex products category, high products flow rate and multinational characteristic.This research aims to improve customer satisfaction while controlling cost of inventory at a reasonable level. This paper proposed a practical, easy to master and implementable method of analysis, and has some reference value to daily operation..
