The purpose of the thesis is primarily to explore the development course of the distributed leadership theory with a literature analysis approach, and then try to understand the application of distributed leadership in our country and the future trend of distributed leadership.Distributed leadership is a gradual arising concept which people can understand and accept in recent years. It emphasizes the collective leadership and power sharing, advocates creating vision and establishing cooperative team. The topic was specifically and systematically explored. Altogether this thesis consists of four parts.The first part introduces the reason and significance of the research, the research content and method, and then summarizes the literature review.The second part explains the main contents of distributed leadership theory, including the concept, characteristics and mode of the topic.The third part illustrates the origin and development of distributed leadership theory, mainly involving the background of this theory, thoughts origin, development phases and the practical application.The fourth part analyzes the relationship between distributed leadership and other leadership theory, its advantages and limitations, the influence of school management work and development prospects in China.The researchers conduct lots of study and practice of distributed leadership theory abroad, which obtained wide and deep effect. The distributed leadership can apply and extend in the education institutions, consultants, marketing team, and improve the organizational performance. The author hopes that this thesis can make its contribution to the research of distributed leadership theory in China, and more application in educational practice of China.
