| With the development of economic globalization and worldwide industry constantlyshifting, the world economy has been transferring to be service-oriented since1990s. Atthe same time China has been strengthening its capability of undertaking internationalservices transfer, and gradually realizes its importance for enhancing the internationalcompetitiveness for Chinese service industry and even the domestic economy. However,due to the late development of China’s service industries, scholars at home and abroadhaven’t studied enough about undertaking services international transfer. Therefore, thisresearch has important theoretical and practical significance.This paper is divided into five chapters. Introduction is the first part. Firstly, theBackground and signification of international transfer of service industry are introduced atthe beginning, respectively. Then, we review documents and papers about internationaltransfer of service industry and competitiveness of service industry. There are mainly threeaspects to be investigated so as to provide abundant research materials and theoreticalfoundation for the following parts. Those are researches about international transfer ofservice industry, competitiveness of service industry and whether undertaking internationaltransfer of service industry can have a positive influence on competitiveness of serviceindustry. Finally, research ideas, research method, innovations and difficulties are proposedone by one.Chapter2is about current situation of international transfer of service industry andChina’s undertaking international transfer of service industry and is consist of two parts.The research about current situation of international transfer of service industry is analyzedfirstly. By the way of looking up relevant data and information we summarized as: thescale of international transfer of service industry is increasing day by day; industry structure changes, telecommunications, distribution, computer information services,accounting, consulting and other emerging services industries continue to expand;developed countries play a leading role, developing countries have become more active;multinational company is the leader in global international transfer of service industry. Thesecond part mainly analyzes current situation of China’s undertaking international transferof service industry which are divided into three main ways-service FDI, serviceoutsourcing and offshore services. We look up large amounts of data to analyze ourcountry’s undertaking current situation.About whether undertaking international transfer of service industry has a positiveinfluence on the competitiveness of China’ service industry, detailed theoretical researchesare analyzed in chapter3. During the first part of paragraph, we first summarize thedefinition of industry competitiveness, and define the meaning of service competitivenessfrom the related views. Secondly, we provide a description about diamond model ofBOTER and analyzed its six factors which decide industry competitiveness and combingcharacteristics of service industry, we propose the five determinants of service industrialcompetitiveness: physical capital, human capital, technology, market demand and systemfactor. These five elements affect service industry’s international competitiveness together.The remaining part mainly propose the ways that undertaking international transfer ofservice industry how to efficiently improve service industry’s competitiveness. Through alarge number of theoretical analyses, it is proved five elements are determinants ofimproving the service industry’s competitiveness.Chapter4shows a mass of demonstration researches from practical perspective. Thearticles select the data from1991to2010, and make empirical testing on the five channelsof undertaking international transfer of service industry which are physical capital, humancapital, technology, market demand and system factor. We use Granger causality test andtesting on effect channels, the results show that undertaking international transfer ofservice industry promotes China’s service industry’s international competitiveness by waysof physical capital, technology and market demand factor.Chapter5summarizes the previous results of analysis and reaches an innovativeconclusion: undertaking international transfer of service industry can improve thecompetitiveness of China’s service industry, but owing to the opening of our country’sservice industry is relatively late and the degree of openness is not high enough, so theeffect is not very significant. With the continuous development and opening up of China’sservice industry, this promoting effect will be more obvious. Therefore, our country should enhance the ability of undertaking international transfer of service industry and then canbetter promote China’s service industry competitiveness. According to the conclusion wepropose the strategies: improve the hard environment and soft environment to attract moreforeign investment and play the maximum effect of the capital; pay attention to theintroduction of technology and R&D innovation; enhance training more service personnel;increase domestic consumption level to make demand condition for undertaking theinternational transfer of service industry. |
