In primitive society, technology and humanity were integrated in one form. The birth andexistence of both were to serve the human kind. However, as the vast and advancedapplication of technology, human being started to depend on technology heavily. Instrumentalrationality has fully dominated people’s thinking and behaviors. People’s behaviours havesubmitted to the instrumental rationality that maximises calculable insterests. It is fullyreflected in the human’s exploration and abuse to natural environment.Technologydissimilation should be the product of capitalism. However, it is gradually spreading andexpanding into socialism and less developed countres due to the collaboration of infiltrating ofinstrumental rationality as an internal factor and globalisation as an external factor. It hasshowed an prevailing trend. Technology dissimilation will increase our technology anddevelop social productivity. However, the way that this dissimilation carries is short sightedand unsustainable. It is at the cost of damage to the resource and pollution to the environment. If it developed without containment, it will bring devastating threat. The fact that technologyplays a role in every aspect of social life including human’s culture, thinking, ideology andsocial orgnisation etc. has caused the supremacy of instrumental rationality. The dimension ofhumanity in technology is gradually disappearing and the nature of technology has changedradically. The history in the evolution of technology of capitalism has demonstrated that it isessential to harness the technology to serve to build the harmonious society by emphasizingand strengthening the dimension of humanity in technology and facilitate the integrateddevelopment of instrumental rationality and value rationality.
