Pan Yangtze River Delta Regional Finance And Regional Economic Development Research

Along with the development of commodity economy and the degree of economic and financial continual improvement, financial development plays a very important role in promoting economic growth.As the regional economic theory, the theory of regional financial development is also an important component of the financial development theory. The finance is an important driving force for economic development; we must not only focus on the reflection of the regional characteristics of the economy, but also realize the importance of the relationship between regional financial development and regional economic growth. In recent years, researches on the relationship between financial development and economic growth have been caused widespread concern.As the most active region co-operation of China, the economic growth rate among the five provinces of the Pan Yangtze River Delta(Pan-YRD) was different and appeared disequilibrium. Such kind of disequilibrium was not good for co-operation of the Pan-YRD. Under the background of the coordinated development’s policy, promoting the Pan-YRD coordinated development was the choose inevitably.As the core of the modern economy, the finance plays a very important role in economy, so it will be of great significance to study coordinated development of the Pan-YRD from the finance sight.This paper’s objective is finding the relationship between regional financial development and regional economic growth in the Pan-YRD from a regional aspect by applying the financial development theory. The paper also uses some index to study the relationship by empirical analysis, give analysis to the result of regression analysis and granger causality Test, offer suggestions on policies.
