Foreign trade is the important way of Inner Mongolia to adjust theindustrial structure and take the road of sustainable development. Fromthe perspective of geographical location and history of Inner Mongoliait has favorable conditions for the development of border trade economy.The port city is the window and the hub of the foreign trade. At presentthe port city’s main problem is the logistics development lags behindeconomic development.Scholars generally agree that logistics is the thirdprofit source.A lot of experience also shows that the development of thelogistics industry can bring energy saving, and take an important meansof sustainable development. This article studies the Inner Mongolia PortLogistics Development, to find out the problems faced in the developmentprocess of the logistics, and makes specific recommendations.In this paper, I use a literature analysis of domestic and foreignleading scholars of port logistics and related areas of theory, and foundthat the main study the logistics system of the port city in Inner Mongolialiterature is rarely. Port city is an integral part in the regionaleconomy.Through the system analysis,I analyzed the development of portlogistics and proposed to the existing problems. In this paper, theresearch questions also uses large amounts of data to support the author’sargument.I researched the status of Port Logistics Development of the InnerMongolia, briefly discussed the status of the other ports, such as majorcities of the eastern coastal state of development, Yunnan, Xinjiang,Guangxi Port Logistics Development.I Detailed the19ports developmentof the Inner Mongolia,including infrastructure, logistics parkconstruction. I find common problems faced the Inner Mongolia portlogistics. Firstly, not yet formed industrial agglomeration effects;secondly,low degree of specialization in logistics services;thirdly poorinfrastructure;fourthly the lack of logistics personnel. Port Logisticshas five development trends, The first is the expanding service The secondis continuously enriching content.The third is traditional port change to the service port, the fourth is specialization, the fifth is logisticsof regional integration. According to the other port logisticsdevelopment experience, the three models for the development of thelogistics of the port city of Inner Mongolia had been proposed. First PortLogistics mode is the integrated port logistics.The second is servicesin the industrial chain model.The third is a versatile transit portlogistics model. The last chapter of the article to explore theconstruction of port logistics.According to the several years of volumeof data of the Erenhot, I proposed suitable specific comments for the theErlian port logistics development.
