| The World Exposition is a kind of international expo activities. It’s the product of social advancement and development. It has been160years since London held the World Expo in1851. During this period of time, the relationship between China and the World Expo is continuing to develop.This dissertation manily focuses on the China’s participation in the Chicago World Expo in America and the final accomplishment of this dissertation collect information from "The Historical Materials Selection of China in the Chicago World Expo" pubished by Second Historical Archives of China in2009, including organizing other related meterials.Firstly, the dissertation introduces briefly the development process of World Expo, especially the one in1933. It describes the preparing process at the very beginning of China’s participation of the Expo, as well as the problems caused in the middle of the process and explains why businessmen organizing to participate spontaneously instead of government in the end. Secondly, the dissertation analyzes deeply according to some problems in china at that time which are observed from the Expo so as to not only let people get a profound understanding to the Chicago Expo, but also to the national conditons of the Republic of China. |
