In2008, the financial crisis triggered by the U.S. subprime mortgage crisis spread tothe world, causing a devastating impact on the finance and economy of manycountries. In this crisis, the financial highly developed countries and regions, such asEurope&the United States suffered the greatest loss.At the same time, Chinasuffered less than any of them, because some risk areas has not yet open and thefinancial sector internationalization degree is low. Moreover, due to their stable andsolid business operation,Chinese banks have accumulated the strength in variousaspects, which laid a good foundation for the internationalization. In this condition,Chinese Banks need the deep analysis and discussion about how to get a clearunderstanding on the situation, seize the opportunity, solid and exploit theinternational market.This article mainly revolves around the operation and development of bankinginternationalization in Post-crisis Era. Starting from the related theory on commercialbank internationalization management, the article analyzes comprehensively thebackground, the present situation and the problems as well as the opportunitiesbrought about by the financial crisis for the Chinese Banks’ internationalization. Andthen learn from the experience of international banks in developed countries. At last,the article gives some recommendations on the path selection of Chinese banksinternationalization.Firstly, this article analyzes the background,the present situation and problemsof the internationalization of Chinese Banks, and then puts forward the background ofChina’s banking international operation, such as going out strategy has provided abroad space for Chinese Banks internationalization development, foreign Banks"come in" contributed to the domestic banking competition, the internationalization ofthe RMB brought new market opportunity for the internationalization of ChineseBanks and competitive situation of the financial crisis has changed the world financial industry. And then summarizes the status quo of our country commercial bankinternational operation. Finally,the article puts forward the problems existing in theinternationalization of Chinese Banks.Secondly, take citi bank, HSBC bank and DBS bank as an example, analyze theinternationalization path, and sum up experience, gaining the enlightenment that theinternationalization of banks in developed country offering for Chinese banksdeveloping path. Then the article says the favorable conditions for theinternationalization of Chinese commercial banks in the financial crisis in detail. Theyare as followed: the increasing financial demand on Chinese Banks from theinternational market; the changes in the global economic and financial situation; theincreased M&A targets and the reduced cost;the introduction of international talent.Finally, the article puts forward the suggestions on the path selection for theinternationalization of Chinese Banks in the post-crisis era. It says that there are fouraspects: to establish reasonable goals, to choose appropriate timing and path, to fullyuse its unique advantages. The end of the article briefly discusses the characteristicsof the major Chinese Banks. It concluded that Chinese Banks should keep in theirstyle, at the same time they can be combined to jointly explore the internationalmarket, and even strengthen the cooperation with foreign Banks. This may not onlybe complementary advantages&cost saving but also can avoid vicious competition,achieving a win-win situation.
