An Analysis Of Factors Influencing The Third Distribution In China

As a supplement to the primary distribution and the fiscal redistribution, philanthropy is referred to the third distribution. It is well known that the third distribution is an important approach to guarantee of the equality, reduce poverty, moderate social conflict, improve of the social welfare, increase social profit and realize the harmonious society. However, research has focused on the advantages, significance and functions of the third distribution.Based on the differences of the donated items, the Third distribution is defined as the eight kinds of ways:married donation, reproductive donation, school donation, the hospital donation, death donation, holiday gifts, poverty donations and disaster donations. According to the survey data and statistics, the paper analyzes the number and structure. Then, using econometric regression analysis, it establishes the structural models and the total models. It finds that the income level is the main factor in the marriage model, the fertility model, the model studies, the hospitalization model, the death model and the holiday gifts model. This shows that married donation, reproductive donation, school donations, hospital donation, death donations and holiday gifts belong to the supply-oriented. It finds that poverty and disaster conditions are the main factors in the poverty and disaster model. This shows that poverty donated and disaster donations are demand-oriented. It finds that the income level is the main factor in the total supply model and CPI is the main factor in the total demand model. Substitution effect of social security is not obvious. Finally, the relevant policies are recommended.
