"Brand Study" course of Northeastern University was awarded national excellent curriculum in October16,2006."Brand Study" textbook is put on the list of regular higher education of "Eleventh Five-Year" national-level planning materials by the Ministry of Education.Domestic brand-related research is lagging behind in comparison with foreign. Domestic current brand research study has been focused on the level of corporate brand, whereas neglecting of national-level brand research, as research content and supplement of brand’s three researching directions, national brand research is a academic direction of brand study which is urgently needed to be expanded at present.Our country has set up research projects, organizes experts and scholars to do exploration and research in this respect, how to make China’s national brand famous in the world and how to better safeguard national brand have become an important objective of national brand study. The relationship between national brand and national mainstream culture is brought forward during a long period of time’s research. By the debate of the relationship between national brand’s design and national mainstream culture, this paper explores the origin of human beings’reproduction and national brand’s potential law, establishes consciousnesses of human life and types of philosophical thinking, analyzes the links between its origin idea and national brand’s design, by the world’s brand case studies and multi-dimensional thinking and arguments, this paper strongly confirmed the law of national brand’s design--national mainstream culture is the core of national brand’s design, under the premise of former conception, the subject study of the relationship between national brand’s design and national mainstream culture is brought forward.Today world’s population is around six billion, about10,000nations and tribes of different cultural backgrounds, about200state power established by different political ideas, hundreds of collections for different interests of the international organizations, about5000 languages and religious beliefs. Under the premise of so many different nationalities and religious beliefs, formed about200different religious groups and cultural backgrounds, how can a nation and a country accept our design, the solution of this problem is not confined to the level of translation in the text, the crux lies in this nation’s mainstream culture and nation’s faith. What kinds of laws exist in the communication between nations, states and regions, how to make China’s national brands to be world famous, are of great significance to study national brand.
