In the modern financial economy, profitability, liquidity and safety of the organic unity are the commercial bank business operation and management in the process of the three basic principles. Among them, the liquidity even is the whole commercial bank "lifeline". The liquidity risk which the commercial Banks are faced with is the most basic, most core risk, and it is the performance of the bank risk all final form. Therefore, the influences endanger the fate of commercial bank and the stability of the entire financial system.This paper to commercial bank liquidity risk as the research object, by China Minsheng Banking Corp., LTD (or CMBC) balance sheets as research samples, and to the people’s bank of China, the China banking regulatory commission issued and related policy laws, regulations and regulatory index for reference; integrated use of the literature research, mathematical statistics and quantitative analysis method, the comparison analysis and research method, from the assets and liability management perspective of bank of the people’s livelihood since its establishment from1996to2011years of liquidity and the affect factors, history of liquidity show the liquidity risk of fluctuations in the corresponding analysis. Among them, emphasizes before and after the financial crisis CMBC liquidity fluctuation in history, and analyzes the reasons. In addition, the effects of the measure index liquidity the connections between a preliminary causal analysis and gray analysis. Positive basis, combining with CMBC at present liquidity risk management actual situation, summarizes CMBC in liquidity risk the problems existing in the management. Finally, to improve the livelihood of the people bank liquidity risk management puts forward macro policy supervision level and the microcosmic management level advice.
