The Study On Efficiency Of Urban Commercial Banks In Central China

For more than ten years, city commercial banks which adhere to service local customers, have made great contributions to local economy. The eastern, central and western part of China differed a lot in local government management environment, economic development level, credit culture, and other financial ecological environment, therefore, the efficiency of central city commercial banks is worth studying in the process of "Rise of Central China Plan".First, the thesis uses financial analysis method and data envelopment analysis respectively, from the point of view of economic and technology to do empirical analysis on the efficiency of the city commercial bank in central region. The results show that the central region city business efficiency improved a lot and the indexes meet the national basic regulatory requirements, but compare with the four major state-owned banks and eastern city commercial bank, the profitability is low. Therefore, they have to develop the business income, improve profitability.Second, the thesis analyzes the efficiency influential factors of the central region city commercial banks based on the financial ecological theory from the following five aspects:legal financial ecology, the local economic conditions, local government behavior, property relations and human resources situation.At last, based on above analysis and the international experiences to improve profitability from small and medium-sized banks in American, Japan and Germany respectively, it puts forward the countermeasures to improve the efficiency of the city commercial banks in central China:improve legal financial environment of the central area; further transform the functions of local government; the development direction and strategic planning of city commercial in central China.
