Online banking, which is also called Internet banking, is the product of modern financial service and Internet.Before the advent of online banking, commercial bank can only connect the other conters of commercial establishment and ATM through internal Internet. While online banOnline banking makes it convenient for both business customers and individual customers to make transactions and access to more information. Online bankng enable all computers to deal with the banking transactions as terminasl.One of direction that our commercial bank develop is to be internationalisation. The outlets of our commercial banks abroad,however, are limited and are faced with the problems of simplistic service channel.The advantage of online banking is that there is no limit in time or districts around the whole world, which makes online banking become the main channel for imploring overseas transactions and customers.In modern banking field, all the experiences both at home and abroad show that the competitions not only take place in physical network, but also, more importantly, in online banking system and various banking cards representing the electric channels of online and offline. Drawing lessons from other commercial bank abroad, which have successful experiences in extending channels rapidly and retail market, we should establish overseas market through online banking based on our advantages of advanced information technology. we should establish more online banking channels overseas and set up all-round supporting service around banking card such like " banking entity+online service+offline service".Thus the development of our commercial banking overseas can be promoted and the transformation and improvement in transactions can be achieved.The main purpose of this thesis is to study the feasibility of internationalisation of our domestic commercial banking based on the online banking system by analysing practical files and commercial banks’ present situations. And the thesis also discusses the methods of online banking development, opportunities of imploring overseas marketing and the safety of online banking through the considerations of overseas advanced experiences, overseas financial marketing environment and international developing strategies as well as marketing channel and potential risks. Finally, the thesis focuses on the difficulties and challenges on the way of development of online banking, which is believed to be valuable to the domestic commercial banks that is eager to implore overseas market.
