Trade Cooperation Between Gansu And The Five Central Asian Countries In The Context Of The "West Open"

The five Central Asian countries have abundant energy and hugemarket potential, and as close neighbors of China’s northwest regions,their stability and prosperity of the social and economic development arevery important to China’s Northwest solidarity. In view of this, this articleseeks to based on realistic conditions for trade cooperation and theimplementation of the "Moving Westward" plan, providing a theoreticalbasis and policy recommendations to further promote the tradecooperation of Gansu and the five Central Asian countries.Recalling the course of the development of Gansu and five CentralAsian countries in recent years, Gansu Province has had an importantposition in China’s trade relations with Central Asia. But on the whole,the trade cooperation of Gansu and the five Central Asian countries is stillhovering at a low level. And there are some problems, such as the countryis too concentrated and trade level is very low. Due to differences in thelevel of economic development and natural resources, the tradecooperation of Gansu and the five Central Asian countries are bothcomplementary and competitive. Chapter IV focuses on this problemmainly from the point of view of the level of economic development,resources, industrial structure and trade development, and it points outspecific industries and product categories to expand tradecooperation.The fifth part of the article concluded that the five Central Asian countries market has great potential. On the basis of the aboveanalysis, Chapter VI gives policy recommendations to further promotethe trade cooperation of Gansu and the five Central Asian countries.
