First of all, based on project management methodology, this essay breaks down the productsales operation into sub-projects. Taking the whole sales as a group project, there is sub-projectsincluding gold business unit, silver business unit, copper business, Miscellaneous and otherbusiness unit. Secondly, project management methodology&tools are applied: decision tree,WBS, Activity network, responsibility matrix, SWOT, Fishbone, process invalid mode and resultanalysis. The application helps a lot in decision making, job division, staff division, job seriesranking, risk management. Meanwhile, a project-oriented matrix sales system in Zhaojin MiningIndustry Co LTD has been built, as well as the life cycle of the sales project, which focuses onapproval mechanism on precious metal transaction. Finally, the essay draws a project schedulechart and transaction process flow as well as plan execution monitoring chart by taking goldbusiness unit as application of project management in Zhaojin Mining Industry Co. LTD. Finallygold business unit achieved13352KG standard gold sales, average price higherï¿¥5.22/gram inShanghai Gold Exchange Center2, with profit ofï¿¥69.7M.The building&operating of project-oriented sales system in Zhaojin Mining Industry CoLTD changes the previous sales pattern and improves the work efficiency with benefits in thefollowing areas: a, positive to achieve the total benefit target b, avoiding risk from individualism;c, clear roles&responsibilities to take d, quick response to the market change.
