In the tide of economic globalization, competition between countries is reflected firstly in the competition of urban development. In a manner of speaking, the status of a city’s development directly decides the position and influence of a city or even a country in the economic development pattern of a certain area or even the world. Under this great background, each country begins to adjust measures to its local conditions,"put its own effects into exertion", in order to find out an urbanization path that’s suitable for their own development, promotes their urbanization process actively. Therefore, competition between countries is becoming fiercer and fiercer. According to statistics, presently, the global average level of maturity exceeds50%, and urbanization level of developed country, such as Britain, America, Japan, South Korea, etc, exceeds90%. In1978, China began to implement the reform and opening up policy, and therefore, development of cities ushered in new opportunities. Until the year of2010, urbanization rate of China has increased on a large scale, reached to47.5%. For a country with such a great population and such a large area, this is really a tremendous advance. However, we still can’t deny that China’s level of urbanization is still too backward compared with that of western developed countries. Great discrepancy still exists. Yet, as the cells of national economy, the cradle of urban economy, hotbed of market economy and backbone of county economy, county economy plays a huge role in the urbanization process of China. In order to improve the development level of county economy, promote continuously the "three change"(urbanization industrialization and agricultural modernization) constructions, enhance the competitiveness of the urban development, city brand development should be actively built up so that urban capital can be appreciated.Yingshang County, which is located in the north of Anhui Province, was ever a small county that gave its priority to agricultural and usually suffered from floods. There was almost no industry, and business there also lagged behind. For many years in the past, when people talked about this place, words such as blocking, poverty, flood, lagging behind would emerge in their mind. However, today’s Yingshang County becomes more impressive than ever before.By the end of11th five-year plan, Yingshang County has become a national ecological demonstration zone, a county of fiatland tourism and coal. It realizes the stride leap from a large agricultural county to a strong agricultural county, from a county of plenty resources to a county of strong economy. It also takes the lead in the rise and enters into the first phalanx of the province’s county economy. What enables the economy of Yingshang to develop in such a high speed? What changes people’s old impressions towards Yingshang? What have been done by people in Yingshang for the "three change" constructions? What kind of effect that all these have on the city brand establishment? What is the typicalness of Yingshang "three change" constructions and city brand and image constructions? These are all the main concerns of this dissertation.This dissertation focuses on Yinshang County as an individual case, analyze the idea, specific measures and achievements in its "three change" constructions by investigating and surveying. Then, discuss the specific pattern of Yinshang "three change" constructions and come up with a conclusion based on the analysis:that is, building up city brand and image in the process of "three change" constructions. On one hand, it is kind of reviewing and summarizing of the advanced experience and practice of Yingshang County. On the other hand, it acts as a benchmark for county economy development and brand building of other cities.
