Current Global Three-dimensional Atmospheric Numerical Visualization AnalysisPlatform is a project application which is a new project ("863plan "project), This topic mainresearch content of it is the meteorological data in3d Earth can be used for the display,analysis, calculation, prediction, etc. Due to the formats of meteorological remote sensingimage, each of them is not identical, if platform system is implemented for each data formatto write an effective way of data reading and cache, then the system’s platform to challengeand pressure will be very large. The current commonly meteorological satellite data formatsinclude BUFR, GRIB2, HRIT/LRIT, HRPT/LRPT, McIDAS, NetCDF, HDF, XML, andFormatted text so on, meteorological data formats are complex. Usually we get a lot ofmeteorological remote sensing images which are using HDF or NetCDF file formats to storedata. So for multi-type meteorological remote sensing image files to different formats of datasource data which need a consistent approach to deal with them in one platform system, thisrequires meteorological operations department to have ability to converts the data to a unifiedformat commonly used remote sensing image of the projection of longitude and latitudeinformation, at the same time which needs to collect all kinds of real-time data according to auniform way to parse for image showed on the3d Earth and display data value prediction andanalysis of data.This thesis focuses on remote sensing data from meteorological NetCDF data to parsing itin details and examples in the operation Demonstrating the data with C++program, accordingto introducing the organization of NetCDF format data and the study of open source libraryGDAL, Using open source GDAL libraries API function to extract NetCDF file formatmethod of raster data and their attributes. Finally, program implementation notes GDAL wellcompatible NetCDF format file.
