| Abstract:This thesis focuses on the Interacting Boson Model (IBM) description of nu-clear triaxial deformations. Based on the original Fortran code with less than three-body terms, the four-body interaction is considered, with which the code is extended. Low-lying spectra, Physical expectations, the reduced electric quadrupole transition probability in the transitional region of the Interacting Boson Model with the higher-order interaction, and the relation between the IBM and the triaxial rotor model are analyzed. Moreover, Pt and Os isotopes are taken as examples in illustrating the results, which were compared with experi-mental results. |
