Fluoride oxide glass is of some good properties, such as low phonon energy, stable physical and chemical performance, and so on, so it is one of hotspots for investigation of matrix materials, and is applied widely in solid state laser, fiber amplifier,3D display technology and security technology, etc.In the thesis, Tm3+/Yb3+co-doped and Ho3+/Tm3+/Yb3+co-doped oxy-fluoride glasses have been prepared using high-temperature solid-phase sintering method. The concentration of Yb3+ions is kept as unchanged,5mol%. However, the concentrations of Tm3+ions and Ho3+ions are selected for0.10,0.15,0.20,0.25mol%, respectively. Some samples are annealed (marking as A series) and others do not deal with anneal (marking as U series).First, the X-ray diffraction spectra of Tm3+/Yb3+co-doped oxy-fluoride glasses are measured. The measure results of upconversion photoluminescence spectra show that there are abundant spectra emitting from the samples, especially, strong blue and red emission are obtained. The spectra become stronger with the increase of pump power. The influence of dopant concentration of rare earth ions and anneal temperature on upconversion luminescence intensities is analyzed. The upconversion mechanism of Tm3+/Yb3+co-doped oxy-fluoride glasses is investigated.Second, the upconversion photoluminescence spectra of Ho3+/Tm3+/Yb3+co-doped oxy-fluoride glasses are measured, and strong red, blue and green emission is obtained. The intensity of red emission is little stronger than that of blue emission, and the intensity of green emission is weakest. Especially, when the samples are annealed for2h at500℃, intensity of the samples take place prominent change.Last, the color coordinates and the chromaticity diagram of a set of samples are analyzed, and it is found that the combinations of three ions Ho3+, Tm3+, Yb3+co-doped oxy-fluoride glasses is the best for the white light emission.
