Yingwang field is located in the southeast of Shanbei monocline, Ordos basin. The exploration area is180km2. Chang8member is the major oil producing zone. On account of the poor reservoir development, low mined level and production capacity problems, it needs to conduct fine description of Chang8reservoir, optimize the geological adjustment programs, in order to improve recovery ratio and oil production.The studies suggest that its reservoir is low porosity and permeability. The average porosity is10.6%and permeability is0.38MD. Sedimentary facies is delta front subfacies. The underwater distributary channel is the main reservoir. The material source direction is northeast. The northern and southern oil-enriched areas belong to two different distributary channel desposition. The paper takes chang8of Yanchang for example, using the newest theory of the modern fine description to reservoir as the direction; with the petroleum geology, sedimentary petrology, reservoir geology and some other basic theories; based on the systemaic collection oilfield geological, logging and some product measures, it conducts the small layer segmention and contrast. Through the segmentation of the research unit, it fine describes the structural characteristics, sedmentary microfacies, the spread of the sand body and interlayer. Through the core analysis and logging secondary explanation, it researches the reservoir properties, heterogeneity and oiliness. Based on the analysis of the reservoir engineering, it evaluates the area development mode, well adaptability, yield trends, reserves producing condition and recovery ratio.
