The rare-earth atom is a sort of complex atoms with an unfull-filled inner shell. They can play an important role in development of novel light sources, laser isotopic separation, observation of the universe, and autoionization laser. The investigation of the spectra and the dynamics of the autoionizing states will be not only to provide the references in the applied research, but also to confirm the quantum theory in-depth.The highly excited states (such as the bound states and autoionizing states), the angular distributions(AD) of the ejected electrons and the branching ratios(BR) of the autoionizing states are investigated in this paper. The experimental data are analyzed systematically and theoretically. The spectra of the highly excited states are explored using the resonance-ionization spectroscopy(RIS) methods. And combining with the isolated core excitation(ICE) technique and RIS method, the autoionizing states are investigated with the same excitation scheme in different energy range. While, the effect that the excitation cross section of the two-electron process of the Eu atom affect the spectra of the autoionizing states adequately is found. The information about the autoionizing states, such as level energies, the widths of the spectra and the effective quantum numbers is provided and the properties of the spetra are analyzed in this paper. The interaction among different autoionizing Rydberg series is demonstrated in here.In addition, combining with the time of flight(TOF) and the method of spectrum polarization, the AD and BR of the autoionizing states,4f76p8s, of Eu atom are also investigated in this paper. On the one hand, the investigation of BR of the autoionizing states, which disintegrate to different ionic states,4f76s+and4f75d+, provides the information about the final states. It will make the reference for the autoionization laser and testing the quantum theory with the higher precision. On the other hand, the differential section, which is reflected the information about the phase position of the wave-function, has been presented in this paper. With the modulation of the polarized angle of the laser, the angle between the quantum axis and the detector is manipulated in the experiment. While the images of the AD are described, and the asymmetrical parameters are ensured. In sum, the knowledge about the wave-function will promote the research in the experiment and theory in further. The precision and reliability of the calibration with the wavelength and the intensity are ensured in this experiment. Using the combination of the polarizer and the rhomb, the accuracy of the polarized angle of the laser is also confirmed. Not only the spectroscopic information of the Eu atom is enriched significantly, but also the AD of the autoionization ejected electron and the autoionization BR of Eu atom are observed for the first time in this paper.
