The Jinding Pb-Zn deposit is the biggest Pb-Zn deposit in China as well as one of the17super-large Pb-Zn deposits in the world. The Pb-Zn reserve of Jinding Pb-Zn deposit is more than1000million tons, and Tl(8167tons), Cd(170000tons), Ag(1722tons), S(512tons), Sr(147tons) had achieved the large scale deposit. The deposit had been concerned by geologist since it was found.The mineralization mechanisms studies are important which have been studied widely and deeply, however, there are still have different opinions about the ore mineralization mechanisms. These arguments are summarized as following:(1)syngenetic-late reformation deposit;(2)Epigenetic hydrothermal filling-replacement deposit or hydrothermal-strata bound-epigenetic deposit;(3) exhalation (hydrothermal) sedimentary deposit. A lot of work about the genesis had been done by many predecessors and got there are many different views since the deposit exploited.In a word, through the study of mineralogy by the SEM and electron probe and combining with the research of thermodynamics, geochemistry and isotopes (Pb, C, O, Cd and so on), we hope that these technics and methods will give us some new views about the genesis of Jinding deposit.
