Induced-polarization Method(IP) is an effective means of detecting metal sulfides, metal oxide and porphyry metal deposit. With the decreasing of the shallow deposit, geologists turn to explore concealed and deep deposit, even the western high altitude areas.The thesis summarize the research and application status of IP, on this basis, the thesis analysis a series of progress achieved of molybdenum ore detecting, clarify the purpose and significance of this paper and the IP and Controlled source audio Magnetotelluric method are adopted, which have successfully applicated on prospecting molybdenum mine. The mechanism of electronic and ionic conductor rock ore’s induced polarization are analyzed, explored the time domain and frequency domain induced polarization properties of rock ore, demonstrates the equivalence of time domain and frequency domain. The thesis focused on spectrum analysis of Cole-Cole model in induced polarization, calculate the underground conduction electric field and obtain the change laws in the plane along the survey line and attenuation laws along the vertical geoelectric section of current situation the relative uniform interval in the plane and how underground electric field changes along the vertical of underground geoelectric sections, qualitative research was carried out under the different conditions about the surface and volume polarization and then based on the above analysis, numerical analysis of the symmetrical four-pole sounding of IP sounding on the globule, and discussed the effect of exploration results of the chargeability and depth of the geological target, solve the problem how to choose appropriate electrode distance when come to a fixed depth target body. Finally,3-D forward of parameter on IP method was carried by Finite-element Method.The geological and geophysical properties of the working area were analyzed before the detection began, at the same time, we introduced several kinds of observation scheme used in this work, cleared a variety of different geophysical methods to solve geological problems, interpretated the reason what caused negative values, finally through the data processing to symmetrical four-pole sounding, combined profiling method and Controlled source audio Magnetotelluric method, combined with the existing geological data, the results are reasonable inference and interpretation, delineate the anomaly,and the drilling verification effect is perfect.
