Conventional agreement studies have been confined to addressing the sense ofreproducibility, and therefore are limited to assessing measurements on the same scale.Agreement studies with continuous data and agreement studies with categorical data are basedon measurements of the same scale, and more mature studied. However, the research ofagreement between the ordinal and continuous measurements is still in a preliminary stage.Through the introduction and comparison the broad sense agreement and ROC analysis whichis between the ordinal and continuous measurements. This article is divided in the five parts: The first part is brief introduction of the BSA andits estimated, the second section describes the area under the ROC curve (AUC) and thevolume under ROC surface (VUS) and its non-parametric estimation, the third part is theBSA and the ROC analysis comparison, through simulation of BSA and ROC analysis to getsome conclusions in the fourth part, BSA and ROC applied to the instance in the final part.
