| With the coming of new eras, more and more countries and some international organizations begin to notice the importance on the development of high level geographic spatial information visualization platform."Digital Ocean" emerged as the new era requires after Digital Earth. Ocean spatial information is mainly obtained through earth satellite, Marine detector and ocean remote sensing devices. Then these vast amounts of data (such as sea bed topography, Marine elements, Marine organisms) will be preferred in the form of a three-dimensional ocean virtual reality through simulation technology. As a crucial technical support in "Digital Ocean", research and development on Marine spatial data field visualization, especially the new theory and method based on characteristics of visualization, and simulation of the Marine environment andt virtual reality technology, and corresponding application to the ocean are undeniableand of great importance as well as realistic significance.This thesis exploits the browser with limited graphics processing ability, and for massive high resolution marine elements and seabed terrain data it adopts the optimization algorithm and the strategy andfulfills arbitrary region of Bohai3D scene real-time, dynamic, interactive stereoscopic display and roaming. With massive data of the Pyramid model and the LOD algorithm as the foundation, data hierarchy, block, storage and scheduling strategy and a series of pretreatment process and method are adopted to guarantee the data to be fast and efficient scheduled and rendered, thus to achieve good results.The platform is developed in the framework of NASA’s WorldWind, which is a dynamic display platform showing the topography information of Bohai sea based on Web. Through this platform, users can load dynamically submarine topography data by the latitude and longitude information and to proceed the real-time dynamic roaming. With dynamically generated Marine elements according to geographical location and change of time, the user roaming in the bottom of the sea can search the visualization results through the ocean element data nearby. By means of the geographical location of Bohai seabed topography of depth contour, visual display and manually added3D ocean models (drilling platforms and oil tanker, etc.) can be shown. |
